Europa Metals delighted with study results for Toral project

Europa Metals Ltd is a lead-zinc exploration company focused exclusively on European projects.

The company believes Europe, and in particular Spain, is an unrealised region for modern mine development and that the opportunity to create new mines within a best practice social and environmental framework, near first class infrastructure, is significant.

Currently, the company is progressing its Toral Lead, Zinc and Silver project towards the mine development phase.

() has returned further high grade intersections of lead, zinc and silver from drilling at its Toral project in Spain.

The company also hit an interval of nearly 1% copper.

This latest 2021 infill drilling campaign was designed to improve Europa’s understanding of the deposit and assess the potential for increasing future production in the early years of the planned mine.

Among the highlights from the latest results were 2.7 metres grading 11.14% zinc equivalent, 14.85 metres grading 8.36 zinc equivalent, and 2.7 metres grading 0.93% copper.

() has completed the requisite work and collated and submitted all the relevant documentation to the Spanish Government Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) in relation to the Stage 1 milestone of its EUR466,801.50 innovation grant, details of which were initially announced on 19 October 2020.

Following receipt of an initial tranche of EUR163,380, Europa Metals has worked closely with its innovation partners, the University of Salamanca (Air Institute) and the drilling contractors Sondeos y Perforaciones Industriales de Bierzo SA (SPI) in recording and analysing data from the ongoing 2021 pre-feasibility study drilling campaign at the Toral zinc and base metals project.

() said it appointed mining consultancy Wardell Armstrong International Ltd (WAI) as the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) manager for its wholly owned Toral lead, zinc and silver project in northern Spain, following a competitive tender process.

WAI has a track record of conducting all levels of technical study required on projects that have successfully been financed and developed into full mining operations, AIM-quoted Europa Metals said.
