Zephyr Energy PLC, the Rocky Mountain oil and gas company, said operations are scheduled to start next Monday at the State 16-2LN-CC well.

The company said all equipment and materials required for hydraulic stimulation (including water tanks, water and proppant materials) have been mobilised to the State 16-2LN-CC well pad on the company’s flagship project in the Paradox Basin, Utah.

The company expects to complete the well in less than a week, after which it will start production testing.

“In spite of the significant supply-chain and weather issues impacting our industry, I’m delighted that we’re ready to commence completion operations in the manner we expected,” said Colin Harrington, the chief executive officer of Zephyr.

Zephyr Energy PLC hailed the tremendous progress made in its first half of 2021 which saw it deliver the State 16-2LN-CC horizontal well as a key proof-of-concept for its plans in Utah.

The company, in its interim results, said the well yielded a significant suite of data – it was drilled down 14,370 feet vertically and 4,555 feet horizontally into the targeted Cane Creek reservoir.
