Silverwood Brands plc announced plans to list on the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market next month.
The group is an investment company focused on consumer-facing brands in the foods, organic food, wellness, lifestyle and leisure sectors, which are expected to see significant growth as the pandemic comes to an end.
The plan is to build a portfolio ranging from established brands to smaller ventures.
Silverwood Brands is headed by Lush co-founder Andrew Gerrie, former Virgin Media (NASDAQ:VMED) and Richmond Council top manager Paul Hodgins, Lush Japan co-founder Andrew Tone and James Wilson, who was previously on the Board of Hornby PLC (LSE:HRN) and Dignity (LSE:DTY) PLC, and currently manages The Huginn Fund.
The all-male board will be advised by Angus Thirlwell, co-founder and CEO of Hotel Chocolat plc.
The investment group has already completed a pre-IPO subscription of GBP1mln, with an IPO subscription to qualifying investors expected to start shortly.
“We believe that the combined expertise of our board is best placed to maximise the opportunities resulting from the growing demand for premium consumer brands. A quotation on a London stock market will provide us with the profile credibility and access to global capital to drive our growth and acquisition strategies,” commented Gerrie.
